They didn't wait for Wednesday's collective tests, they already unveiled their new car last night, which they will also show off tomorrow in Bahrain as part of the film day.
The team chose a well-known online presentation during which they released the graphics of the AMR25. According to Fernando Alonso, this model is 95% different from last year's race car. The side boxes have changed, the front wing, which carries a significant development. Their goal is to achieve better speed in slower corners than ever before. In addition, the cooling, engine cover and the overall appearance have also been improved in terms of the efficiency of the aerodynamic package.
All of these changes were made to improve the car's handling, to avoid the problems that Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll suffered last year. With the above innovations, Aston Martin could be stronger on the more technically demanding tracks, which were a weak point last year.
"We've taken all the lessons and feedback from last season into this year's car. Our aim was to give Lance and Fernando a car that was much more manageable, we've worked hard to keep it under control and make it reliable," said Andy Cowell, team principal.
