Bahrain, final day: Russell in the lead

Bahrain, závěrečný den: Russell v čele

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

The F1 field is coming off some interesting and telling days, from which it is very difficult to draw any sensible conclusion.

The final day brought some interesting events again, especially in terms of weather, as this time the teams were faced with much milder, warmer conditions. There were also other incidents, as Lance Stroll missed the first few hours due to nausea, a glass panel fell off the side of the grid and then a bus that drove onto the track caused a bizarre red flag phase... Charles Leclerc set the fastest lap of the morning, Andrea Kimi Antonelli was second and Lando Norris even made it onto the imaginary podium.

The afternoon focused on longer stages, but Max Verstappen took the lead, leading until the last ten minutes of the test. Then George Russell came in and eventually beat this time, but strangely the best time of the three days ended up being Carlos Sainz's result from yesterday's session. Different compounds, different tactics, hiding power, that's all that's certain, and also the progress of McLaren and Williams. The rest is impossible to predict.
