Today, the collective testing days continued in Bahrain, where this time Williams was the fastest, surpassing two Ferraris.
Thursday also did not show its best face, the fields were shrouded in clouds and light rain. George Russell nevertheless soon improved on the best result from yesterday, then Lewis Hamilton took the lead. However, in the second hour, a surprise came, such intense precipitation that it was impossible to continue the work. The reason was quite ridiculous: the teams were not prepared for wet tires (WTF??)
After the forced break, Hamilton got even more involved, setting the fastest time of the morning. Only one person managed to beat this time, Carlos Sainz, who had already closed in on Hamilton in the morning stage and finished the day on the same compound ahead of the British driver. Sainz, by the way, had a very productive day, leading the Williams and completing 120 laps without any problems. The same could not be said for Liam Lawson, who also completed the whole day, but had many problems with the Red Bull technical side and his self-confidence was still problematic. McLaren "let go" this day, last year's constructors' winner was apparently working on something else instead of chasing time results and was more focused on the long stages.
