Brazilian Grand Prix, sprint race: Norris gets a gift of victory

Brazilská Grand Prix, sprint závod: Norris získal darem vítězství

Tamás Jancsovics |

In a race that was drawn out and low on action, Oscar Piastra handed a smooth start-to-finish victory to Lando Norris to help him in the points.

Oscar Piastri started very well, he smoothly maintained the leading position, there were no changes at the front of the field. Max Verstappen tried aggressively against Charles Leclerc, but after several attempts he was not successful. Unlike Nico Hülkenberg, who improved the most on the track, while behind him the queues tightened. Sergio Perez also tried, he had a reason, because the place in Red Bull Racing is very swinging under him. In the last quarter of the race Verstappen caught up with Leclerc and took over third place from him, while in McLaren they were going to change places. This happened on lap 22, but the race almost ended under the VSC phase due to Hülkenberg's retirement, with only half a lap of racing. In the end, Lando Norris won the sprint ahead of Oscar Piastr and Max Verstappen.
