Horrifying chaos, Lando Norris' hellish drive, the rise of Max Verstappen, a bit of magic from Alpina. This is a brief chronicle of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Brazilian Grand Prix hadn't even started yet, and we could already document the first retirement: Lance Stroll lost his Aston Martin during the warm-up lap and got stuck in the gravel. The race was over for him... The "second" first start was best handled by George Russell, who immediately took the lead from Lando Norris. The field started relatively cleanly, only Sergio Perez managed to spin, which dropped him to last place. Meanwhile, in the second Red Bull, Max Verstappen made a very strong comeback, and within a few laps he was already in seventh place ahead of Oscar Piastre. Franco Colapinto and Oliver Bearman also raced brilliantly, overtaking the suffering Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion was visibly struggling, he couldn't find the harmony with his car and fell behind at the back of the field. The race was already starting to get boring when an extreme amount of water fell on the track, which is why the safety car was announced.
Before that, several other drivers stopped in the pits, including Collapint, who brutally destroyed the Williams during his exit. A red flag followed, a long wait and then a standing start... During this time, Esteban Ocon maintained the leading position, but Lando Norris lost a lot at the back due to going off the track. Meanwhile, Bearman ended up in the wall, but everything happened in a good place, so the race could continue without any problems. Meanwhile, Ocon's lead was still growing, but Carlos Sainz came, crashed and the safety car arrived again. Verstappen managed the new restart better and took over the lead. And because Norris made a huge mistake, he practically offered his rival the opportunity...
The next twenty laps went like this, with Verstappen and the two Alpines on the podium, battles at the back of the field, and Norris "nowhere". In the remaining time, no more dramas happened, and Max Verstappen won the Brazilian Grand Prix with a huge effort, ahead of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. And in doing so, he probably won another championship.
