From a European perspective, there was nothing surprising about the Chinese Grand Prix in an interval that was definitely not friendly. On the contrary, there was more than enough history!
Lewis Hamilton had a perfect start, as did the entire peloton, which started without any problems. A little later, Lando Norris, who was in third place, tried a too bold maneuver and fell to ninth place. However, Yuki Tsunoda, who was already in sixth position on the third lap, showed better rhythm - probably not only for valuable points, but also a little for a place in Red Bull Racing... Meanwhile, Liam Lawson modestly held 18th place after a controversial overtaking. At the front, Hamilton maintained his one-second advantage over Max Verstappen, but around the eighth lap the Dutch forward got close. In the end, nothing came of the action, so much so that instead of overtaking, Verstappen had to focus on Oscar Piastri, who was approaching from behind. At this point, the queues had already tightened, we could practically only see a train on the track. In the end, Piastri caught up with Verstappen, but he no longer had the time or the tires to try to catch up with Hamilton. Thus, the British driver won his first sprint race and secured victory for Scuderia Ferrari ahead of Oscar Piastre and Max Verstappen.
