Pierre Gasly knows this too, and he knows that if someone achieves exceptional results in the powertrain area, they have a good chance of success in the final standings. And from 2026, Mercedes will be the engine supplier for Alpine.
"I'm very curious to see what happens because 2026 will be a huge opportunity for me to win the World Championship. That's why I'm preparing very hard for next season. To be clear, I'll do everything I can to be successful in 2025, but where I finish this year doesn't interest me at all. The team and I are aware of what we can achieve this year and what we can achieve next year, so we've already set the strategy that we're working on. As I said at the London presentation, if I had to decide, I would put all our people and all our resources behind the 2026 program at this moment. Next year we want to fight for podiums and victories, that's our goal!" - declared the Frenchman resolutely.
