The weekend started badly for Scuderia Ferrari at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where the Reds are fighting for nothing less than the Constructors' World Championship title.
In this race, they are already at a disadvantage, doubly so… While the pilot got food poisoning at the final dinner for the competitors, his car battery failed. And it all started like a dream, because Charles Leclerc was able to take to the track together with his brother Arthur:
"It all started last night when I got food poisoning. I didn't sleep all night, I was so tired, I couldn't think about anything but when I would finally get to bed. The day started very hard... I didn't really feel like getting in the car, but I'm very motivated, we can drive together with Arthur. This is a dream come true, our whole family came here for it, so I couldn't miss it."
When it turned out that we had problems with the battery and it would need to be replaced, I remembered a lot of things. First of all, I could lose the opportunity to be on the track with my brother during the Formula 1 weekend. And then there is the Constructors’ Championship… We have to start from tenth place, the weekend is much harder now. But overall I see it as a challenge! I feel a little better, I will sleep well at night and come back with charged batteries. What we need is a great tomorrow and a great Sunday!” – said the underdog Charles Leclerc.
