An unprecedented number of visitors are "waiting" in Fiorano for Lewis Hamilton's first test with Ferrari. According to one journalist, Italian police are expressing concerns because they believe the situation poses a serious security risk...
Journalist Roberto Chinchero spoke on the F1 podcast about the need to prepare for incredibly tumultuous scenes in both Maranello and Fiorano. Chinchero is probably not talking nonsense, as he knows the temperament of the Tifosi and the Italian people in general well. He is not alone in his concerns:
"From the very first moments, Scuderia Ferrari fans in Italy have been impatiently waiting for the moment when Lewis Hamilton will sit in the red car. I really can't imagine what awaits us in Maranello and Fiorano. There will be an incredible number of people on the streets, which in a sense also poses a security risk. The local police are not calm, which I completely understand, they are in for a real test. Of course, this is not surprising, the media has taken great care of it, and not only motoring magazines.
"The mainstream is constantly focusing on Hamilton, which has skyrocketed interest..." - said Chinchero.
