The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is fast approaching and things are definitely not going well at Red Bull. At least that's what a recent statement from the team's technical director suggests.
Pierre Wache said they are somewhat disappointed with the progress they have made. And it seems to be significantly less than that of their big rivals, and the car is also not performing as well as they would have liked and expected.
"I think the first day of testing was okay. But from the second day on, there were some problems that we couldn't find the right operating range. That basically determines our competitiveness. That's a serious problem at the moment... I think the start will be very close because McLaren and Ferrari are faster than us," Wache said optimistically despite the difficult situation.
