Ralf Schumacher says it's a joke what's happening at Scuderia Ferrari. One of the most prestigious teams in the championship race made mistakes this weekend that would be laughed at even in some of the lower development series.
As a result, both of the team's drivers were disqualified after the Chinese Grand Prix, which Schumacher said would have serious consequences:
"To put it mildly, Charles Leclerc was missing one element of the car. The missing piece weighed two kilos, which should definitely have been taken into account, and by the way... At this level of engineering, a safety margin should already be taken into account. This is nothing more than pure incompetence. Lewis Hamilton's case is unfortunately even worse and raises stronger questions. After Saturday's sprint, they should have known how worn the floor was. And what happened... I believe it will have serious personal consequences!
"They will not and cannot let such a big mistake go unpunished. They had the pace to close a great weekend, but what they showed on Sunday is simply ridiculous, unacceptable, not up to the level of Ferrari. With such a performance, they do not want to be champions." - Schumacher expressed his harsh but justified opinion.
