A real rookie showdown is set for the first practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where, in addition to Arthur Leclerc, five other rookies will put on a racing suit for the first time in their lives on a hot Formula 1 weekend.
This year, many teams left compliance with the rules to the last minute, which is why this unusually high number of first-time entries has arisen. Which, by the way, you should get used to, because from 2025 this will also change, because due to stricter rules, each team must provide 2-2 training sessions per driver for its rookies, so more and more new faces will appear on the tracks in FP1. And who will be the ones we will see now?
Here is the list:
Red Bull Racing: Isack Hadjar replaces Max Verstappen
Scuderia Ferrari: Arthur Leclerc replaces Carlos Sainz
McLaren: instead of Oscar Piastri Ryō Hirakawa
Aston Martin: Felipe Drugovich replaces Lance Stroll
Racing Bulls: Yuki Tsunoda replaces Ayumu Iwasa
Williams: Alexander Albon's replacement Luke Browning
