Vasseur on Hamilton: "I'm not interested in the fuss around him, but in his performances."

Vasseur o Hamiltonovi: „Nezajímá mě povyk kolem něj, ale jeho výkony.”

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

The Ferrari team boss is aware that all hell will break loose the moment Lewis Hamilton puts on the red suit. Yet Frederic Vasseur has indicated that he is not interested in that, only in performance on the track…

The Scuderia boss doesn't care how much hype it creates, he just wants to focus on his work and he demands the same from the newly arrived racer:

“I only care about performance, we have to focus on the upcoming season. We have a very hectic period ahead of us, starting with the presentation day, and I would like everyone to focus on performance. The season opener, the car presentation, are two events that are more than enough. I want us to eliminate the show and focus only on how we can be better. The car presentation – those are two events that I think are too many. That’s enough! I would like to see the improvement in performance become the focus, not the show.”

“This is always a serious challenge, because from the beginning of January to the London presentation there will be only six weeks, and it will not be easy. But Lewis already has experience in these things, he is not a newcomer, so I am not afraid of the pressure that awaits him. He will only have a few days to adapt to everything before the tests, but we have our simulator, where he can master the steering wheel, all the specifications of the car, and can do simulations of qualifying and races. The second home in Milan will also help him with this, so that he can spend as much time with us as possible.” - the team boss reflected on the tasks that await them.
