Few people know that Max Verstappen is not only involved in Formula 1, but also has his own racing team, which has now signed a contract with Aston Martin.
This is quite interesting in the context of the well-known F1 gossip and can be considered a strong approximation that Verstappen.com Racing will line up at the start with a race car from the British manufacturer and with its direct support in the GT World Challenge Endurance series.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen and Chris Lulham. The latter will find the challenge particularly exciting as the youngster comes from the world of simulators and this will be his first race car to race in the real world. Team Verstappen has a long history of supporting young drivers, but this will be the first time they have given an opportunity to an athlete coming from a virtual environment:
“I have always dreamed of helping young drivers one day and I have been working for some time to create this opportunity for a simulator driver. With Chris Lulham, whom I know well from Team Redline, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we are taking on a new, exciting challenge. We will be working with a professional team in a championship that represents a very serious challenge. There is still a lot of work to do to get the best out of our cars and drivers, but our goal is clearly to fight at the forefront. We have an exciting year ahead of us!” said Max Verstappen, who certainly cannot be ruled out joining the unit one day.
Let's say that after a successful period in Formula 1 with Aston Martin...
