Sebastian Vettel has expressed his support for his former rival, saying that if anyone could pull Ferrari out of its long-term crisis, it would be Lewis Hamilton.
Although he has his fingers crossed for his colleague that he will succeed, because it was precisely because of Hamilton that he previously failed to fulfill his potential at Scuderia Ferrari. But Vettel is not bothered by this:
"It's true that I didn't succeed because Lewis had a better package with Mercedes at the time. We'll see how he manages to work with Ferrari, in any case I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him with all my heart. We've fought a lot together, we've become good friends over the years, I don't have to prove his abilities and the time invested to anyone. He's the most honest racer in current Formula 1, his results and records speak for themselves, and he always uses his influence for positive goals, so it's a joy that he's still part of the field. I'm rooting for him to win the championship, but it won't be easy for him. There's Charles Leclerc, who is very talented, the two of them make a very strong pair, but it doesn't just depend on them whether they have a chance of the title when we get to the last races. Let's hope it's close, that would only be beneficial for everyone." - Sebastian Vettel thought.
